Wordpress has revolutionized web design and most of my advice is based on this program. There are other options available, but in my opinion Wordpress offers the most value.
2. Free Image Hosting: FreeCodeSource.com
Easy code generation and hosting site.
3. Free Graphic Software: Gimp
This tool is brilliant. Download it at gimp.org. They even have an extensive list of websites with thousands of images you can use or customize. Just be sure you check the rights on them, but many are free for any use.
4. Free Photos: Flikr
They have plenty of images you can use on your site, even if you are commercial. The advanced search options allow you to easily search through the photos which allow commerical use.
5. Free Advertising:
List your business with Google Yellow Pages and put ads on Craigslist.
6. Free email: Hotmail
A lot of people give Hotmail a bad rap, but I have email accounts with many different providers and Hotmail’s interface is still the one I like the best.
7. Free WordPress Headers: ThemeHeadrs.com.
This site has a lot of nice header designs. I usually just open them up in Microsoft publisher and add some wordart; however, they do customizations for $10 apiece.
8. Free Monetization: Commission Junction
Awesome. Unlike some commission directories, they only support reputable companies, and there are some very high-paying programs available.
9. Free Themes: Smashing Magazine Free Wordpress Themes
These guys have 100 beautiful themes to choose from. If you don’t see anything you like, just Google “free Wordpress themes.”

This Wordpress tool is awesome and has really propelled my free webpage design forward. At first, it may be a little awkward to use, but if you take some time to play with the different features and experiment on what each does, you can get pretty good. Uploading a custom header is a must if you want it to look professional.

Perfecting Your Squeeze Page

A squeeze page is web page where visitors sign in and subscribe to your list. The primary (first) link in all of my articles will point to my squeeze page.
With each article I write, I have two goals in mind. My primary goal is to entice readers to opt into my list. My second objective is to offer some sort of promotional sale item that viewers may be interested in buying. Granted, only a very small percentage of people will make a purchase after seeing a single article, but it is money just the same. Follow the guidelines below to build that perfect squeeze page and start generating those huge long-term profits.
Make sure your opt in box is ‘above the fold,’ that means, you will see this box without having to page up, page down, or otherwise use your mouse. Your opt in box should have a place of prominence on your page. I’ve heard some people say that they increased the conversion percentages substantially by moving their opt in box to the top. Although I must admit, I have not done that sort of research, so I can’t be certain about that.
There should never be any distractions on your squeeze page. No ads of any kind, no links, no nothing! Your one and only goal is to convince the reader to opt in. Do not give your visitors an opportunity to click on an item and leave your page.
Your long-term success depends upon the quality and quantity of your list. Don’t be afraid to tweak your squeeze page. Then, make sure you test the results to see which page performed better. Remember, the long-term money is in your list, and the size of your list is directly related to the quality of your squeeze page. If you don’t know where to start or simply don’t want to do the writing yourself you can always include other people’s content rich articles on your web page. This is completely legal assuming the articles are unedited and the author resource box is intact unedited.
